Magdalena Valdevenito is a Chilean architect and educator. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Tulane University School of Architecture and the Built Environment.
She holds a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University, a Master in Sustainability and Energy Efficiency from Universidad Católica de Chile, and a Bachelor’s degree from the same institution.
Her work in academia and practice as inevitably intertwined, as she explores questions around small scale architecture and socio political activism. The ethos of her work begins with an attitude towards kind, inclusive design that is also actively respectful towards our built environment and the scarcity of resources.
